It's been six years. Almost, seven. That's how long I've lived in Los Angeles. Sure, I've done some time in other parts and other places -- but during those times, I've always known that I'd be returning to Los Angeles...because, well, that's my home. And now I've packed up my entire Los Angeles life -- all seven years of it -- into nice neat cardboard boxes and suitcases. 15 total to be exact. It's weird. I'm looking at the objects of my life thus far compacted in my living room and shortly all shoved into a 10 foot U-haul truck.
For anyone who's ever moved during or post-college you know what I'm talking about. It makes me feel really small. Like I haven't done a lot with my time. But then again, Life isn't about the things you have, but the moments and the people you have amassed in your short short time here. At least that's what I think and I'm sticking to it.
So, I'm moving (my stuff) back up north to the 'rents and then I'm gonna spend some time hopping around the US saying goodbye and having a good time with my friends. Maybe even see Chicago while I'm at it.
